Experts with experience and a reasonable price tag will be hired first

The recruitment business thrives on mobility and the churning of jobs. We need this current economic high-wind to blow over so that people will be less cautious about moving jobs.

The other side of this is that decision-makers are slow to hire because they are unsure about the next few months of business and don’t want to be seen to risk overspending on budget.

Hotel and restaurant clients have hit the pause button for now anticipating a rise in business around March and April.

The market has shifted in favour of the employer; it has switched to a buyer's market and my feeling is that there is a lot of value out there right now.

Hotels and catering businesses have an opportunity to bring talented people into their organisations.  There are fantastic openings for companies to hire talent from the competition and pick up very good people who might otherwise be unobtainable.

The reality is that experts with experience and a reasonable price tag will be hired first. Candidates need to communicate well with employers and, we in the recruitment business, have a lot of advice and support to offer people working through the hiring processes and the negotiation of a new job contract.

The current slow down in the recruitment market means that the quality of service agencies provide is very much under the spotlight. Recruiters who do not deliver a high quality of service and knowledge to both clients and candidates will be very exposed. Trust is a newly valued commodity and companies will be keen to work with recruiters with whom they have some history.

The Firm have been offering expert advice and assistance to the catering industry and have hired many well known experts over the years. It is our intention to continue to give the best support to our client companies and the many individuals we represent.
