150 jobs created in hi-tech research sector
Japanese firms are to create 150 new jobs in Dublin and Cork as a result of investments announced during the trade mission to the country being led by Taoiseach Brian Cowen.
Fifty jobs will be created as part of the expansion of Gala's European headquarters in Dublin, while 100 new posts will come on stream over the next three years at Trend's offices in Cork.
Meanwhile, Sony and IBM are among a number of firms that have announced plans to increase R&D investment as part of a project to be based at Trinity College in Dublin.
